{"id":2570,"date":"2024-07-12T10:23:44","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T08:23:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zachrankarase.cz\/?p=2570"},"modified":"2024-07-12T10:30:44","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T08:30:44","slug":"monitoring-and-planting-of-common-carp-in-the-doupov-mountains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zachrankarase.cz\/en\/monitoring-a-vysazovani-karasu-obecnych-v-doupovskych-horach\/","title":{"rendered":"Monitoring and stocking of the crucian carp in Doupovsk\u00e9 hory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In April, we visited a beautiful site near Jakubov in Doupovsk\u00e9 hory, where in cooperation with refugium.eu within the framework of their project Restoring Natural Habitats (more here: https:\/\/refugium.eu\/revitalizace-jakubov), we carried out monitoring and stocking of the crucian carp and sunbleak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We confirmed the presence of a stable population of the crucian carp in the local pond. This population had already been genetically tested, so there was no doubt that it is a pure crucian carp. Using umbrella traps, over 100 individuals were caught over two days. These individuals were subsequently released into their newly revitalised pond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bonus was the discovery of the critically endangered sunbleak in a nearby sandpit, whose individuals were also stocked in the new pond.
